The 48th Annual IMTA Conference was held in Kingston,
Ontario, Canada on October 3 – 5, 2006, at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel on King Street
East.
Supported by the Canadian Forces Leadership Institute, as part of the Canadian
Defence Academy, the Conference featured renowned keynote speakers and presenters from
around the world, who enlightened participants with their various research findings.
The Conference began with a Meet and Greet held at Old Fort Henry on the very scenic
Fort Henry Hill, which overlooks Kingston, and concluded with a banquet at the Four Points.
It was there that LCol François Lescreve of the Belgium military was awarded the Harry Greer
award, a beautifully hand-crafted glass Inukshuk.
Many delegates participated in the two tours
offered on Friday 6 October, and were amazed at the beautiful scenery and spectacular colors
that the Boat Cruise and Upper Canada Village had to offer.
We trust that all participants
enjoyed their Conference experience.
